Ekurhuleni Ems On Alert Concerning Fuel Line Leak In Alberton

Ekurhuleni Emergency Services have evacuated a group of residents from the Thina Sonke informal settlement in Alberton, following a fuel line leak.

According to emergency services, a fuel line was allegedly tampered with by thieves, resulting in the leak.

Ekurhuleni EMS spokesperson, William Ntladi says authorities are currently on the scene monitoring the situation.

"On arrival, we found a fuel line tampered with and we dont know how much has been leaked out, but the residents have been evacuated and the teams are monitoring the situation, and we have the hazmat teams and law enforcement is on site."
