Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader, Julius Malema , has scoffed at suggestions that the departure of some senior party leaders signals the beginning of the end for the party.
This follows the resignation of the partys former national chairperson, Advocate Dali Mpofu , this week.
Mpofu has joined a list of party members who recently left the red berets to join the uMkhonto we Sizwe MK party.
The list includes its former deputy president, Floyd Shivambu, as well as former members of parliament, Advocate Busisiwe and Mzwanele Manyi. However, Malema has told SABC News that the departure of the leaders does not mean the party is falling apart.
"It cant fall apart because you cant destroy that which you have not built. It is our own child it is our own baby, and we will decide what we do with it. The EFF is the future, and it cannot be destabilised by opportunism."
