The Chairperson of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the eThekwini Region, Bhekithemba Mvubu says there is hope that the EFF will regain its support base in KwaZulu-Natal.
Mvubu is amongst the branch leaders who have met with the EFF leader Julius Malema in Durban. The meeting gave branch leaders and ground forces an opportunity to report back to the EFFs national leadership on what led to the party's decline in KZN in the May 29 general elections.
Mvubu says despite the decline, party members are still very committed to growing the EFF.
Here in eThekwini, we have not received any resignation letters from anyone. Fighters are actually rejuvenated because there is a drive. We are busy encouraging our fighters and the leadership to renew their membership. So that is what is happening in what first sight seems to be a defeat. We can't decide to close up shop because we are not cowards. That is why we are called fighters.
