Eff Has Influenced Sas Political Discourse Malema
The Economic Freedom Fighters EFF National Peoples Assembly has always taken place during definitive moments in the history of South Africa, according to EFF leader Julius Malema who is delivering the partys political report in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.
The party is hosting its third National Peoples Assembly to elect its top six leaders.
Over 2 000 party delegates are taking part in the elective conference.
Malema says the EFF has managed to influence the political discourse of the country.
The first National Peoples Assembly occurred when the nation was reeling from the tragedy of the brutal massacre of the 34 Lonmin Mineworkers in Marikana. And the former liberation movement had a firm electoral grip on our democracy which gave them a sense of impunity resulting in high levels of unchecked corruption. It was the formation of this movement that brought the Marikana massacre into the corridors of Parliament and shook the former liberation movement to its core.
