The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday, said it has filed a petition at the tribunal challenging the conduct of the last September 21, 2024 governorship in the State.
DAILY POST reports that the State chairman of the party, Dr Anthony Aziegbemi disclosed this at a press conference in Benin City.
Aziegbemi said the petition filed by the partys governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo was against all alleged odds by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in connivance with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to deny the party to have access and inspect all the electoral materials used for the election.
He alleged that APC and INEC prevented them from inspecting the electoral materials despite the tribunals order to grant its leave to inspect the materials.
