Ahead of the September 21, 2024, governorship election in Edo State, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Monday Okpebholo, has urged the people of the state to punish the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, government with their votes for alleged under performance.
DAILY POST reports that the APC gubernatorial candidate made the call while members of the Obidient Movement in Edo South Senatorial District paid him a solidarity visit in Benin City.
if they have done well, I would not have contested. I urge you to punish them with your votes because if you leave it for them, our unborn children will suffer, he said.
Okpebholo also promised to surpass the achievements of the Governor Godwin Obasekis-led administration in the first year of his administration.
He thanked the movement for the support, and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him when voted into power.
