The parents of the three children who died after eating contaminated porridge are still coming to terms with their deaths. They have described their childrens deaths as an unbearable pain, adding they demand that justice be served.

It is alleged that four children between the ages of 1 and 7 consumed instant porridge purchased from a local Spar supermarket in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape.

Two toddlers then complained of stomach cramps. A baby who was also fed the same porridge presented with similar symptoms.

Three of the four children unfortunately passed away while a seven-year-old has since been discharged from the hospital.

Two of the three deceased are said to be from the same household.
