Dstv Announces R100 Upgrade Offer For Access And Compact Subscribers

DStv has announced a new promotion that allows its Access and Compact packages subscribers to upgrade to Compact and Premium , respectively, for just R100 .

Ordinarily, an Access subscriber would need to pay an extra R230 to access Compact content, while a Compact subscriber would have to pay an additional R360 to access Premium.

For our Compact customers, simply add R100 to your decoder subscription and you'll get an upgrade to Premium, while Access customers will be boosted to Compact, the pay TV service said on Wednesday 5 February.

To get the offer, simply add R100 to your usual subscription amount. You will then receive a message confirming the upgrade, which will be effected within 48 hours.

You will have access to the higher package for 30 days, after which you will receive a message notifying you of the end of the offer. DStv will then revert your subscription to the original package, according to a MyBroadband report .

If youre a Compact subscriber who has added Showmax to your bill, you will not be charged for Showmax during the 30-day promotion period.

Your account needs to be up to date to qualify, DStv said. The promotion runs between 5 February and 31 March 2025 and applies to decoder subscribers.

The following are excluded from the promotion:

• Active decoder customers who downgrade to Compact and/or Access between 5 February and 31 March.
• Customers on a contract.
• Customers who pay annually.
• Customers with a streaming only subscription.

The deal is part of MultiChoices GET MORE campaign. The group ran a similar offer in November last year that upsized DStv Compact Plus and Compact customers to Premium for one month, at no extra charge.
