Dstv Adds Channels To Compact, Family, Access And Easyview Packages

DStv Compact, Family, Access and EasyView packages will get additional channels from 1 April 2025, the South African broadcaster announced on Monday 17 March.

Compact subscribers will get five more channels, while Family customers will get three, Access two and EasyView one.

DStv Compact customers also benefit from access to a second stream on the DStv Stream app, allowing them to stream on two devices concurrently, including smart TVs, the broadcaster said.

Customers will also enjoy a 40 percent discount on Showmax , providing affordable access to a huge library of movies , series and other content on-demand.

Below are the five new channels on the package:

• SuperSport Action channel 210: Mixed Martial Arts MMA content like UFC and EFC international and local boxing WWE Adrenaline Sports and UCI Cycling.
• Africa Magic Showcase channel 151: Nollywood content.
• CBS Justice channel 170: True-crime documentaries and series.
• Curiosity Channel channel 185: Real stories about real people from around the globe that live at the intersection of culture and inspiration, with titles like Planet Insects , Cities of Tomorrow , Myths Monsters , Ancient Engineering and Titans: The Rise of Wall Street .
• History Channel channel 186: Factual series and specials that wrap historical knowledge in entertainment, with titles like American Pickers , Ancient Aliens , Storage Hunters , Combat Ships , Secrets in the Ice , UFOs Declassified , The unXplained , Forged in Fire and more.

Spanning kids, movies, music, news, lifestyle, sport and more, DStv Compact is already an excellent viewing experience, and the five new channels and extra concurrent stream add even more value for customers, DStv said.

DStv has confirmed that it will again offer discounted rates to decoder customers who want to lock in their price by paying in advance for 24 months.
