Dorival Jnior Sacked As Brazil Coach Following Defeat To Argentina

Dorival Jnior has been sacked as the head coach of Brazil following Tuesdays 4-1 defeat to rivals, Argentina.

His dismissal was confirmed by Brazils football confederation, CBF, on Friday.

Argentina secured their ticket to the 2026 World Cup with the win in Buenos Aires, despite the absence of captain Lionel Messi.

It was Brazils heaviest ever defeat in World Cup qualifying.

The Brazilian Football Confederation announces that coach Dorival Jnior will no longer be in charge of the Brazilian National Team, the CBF said in a statement.
