Doc Shebelezas Fans Saddened By His Passing

Some fans of Kwaito legend Doc Shebeleza, who passed away on Thursday morning, have expressed their shock and sadness. Doc Shebeleza, whose real name was Victor Bogopane, died at his home in Fairlands, north of Johannesburg.

Fans recalled that the Ebumnandini hitmaker appeared to be in good health when he performed at a popular club in Soweto last year.

Soweto-born Kwaito legend, Victor Bogopane, popularly known as, Doc Shebeleza, died at the age of 51 years. He was hospitalised in December, when he underwent surgery. He was due to undergo a second surgery on Monday next week.

His passing came hot on the heels of the passing of another popular musician Winnie Khumalo.

"I was so heart broken when I heard the news that Doc Shebeleza has passed away. Because he is a legendary icon in the music industry. Few days back we heard about Winnie Khumalo and today it is Doc Shebeleza. It's a sad week for the music industry," A fan said.
