Disney's 'the Magic Box' Features An All-south African Cast

The Magic Box not only celebrates Disneys 100 years of storytelling but it also marks a significant milestone for the South African theatre industry.

This is because it will be the first time that an entirely South African cast and crew have been involved in a major Disney theatrical production, giving the countrys talented actors, musicians and theatre professionals a platform on the global stage.

The show features the likes of Sunny Yoon from Bellville, Ghia Hough from Kuils River and Ashley Scott and Ch-jean Jupp from Plattekloof Glen.

They shared their unique journeys into theatre, highlighting the challenges theyve faced and the passion that has kept them going.

In an interview with Southern Suburbs Tatler, Jupp opened up about the struggles in the industry.
