Disney Cruise Line is the latest cruise line to adjust the itinerary of one of its cruises due to climate change protests at Amsterdam port.

The seven-night sailing on Disney Dream will skip the planned call at Amsterdam and stay an additional day in Zeebrugge, Belgium, according to a letter the cruise line sent out to passengers.

The Disney Dream departed on September 1 and was scheduled to spend September 6 in Amsterdam. Now the ship will arrive in Belgium on this day instead.

Pre-reserved excursions in Amsterdam have been automatically cancelled and passengers have been reimbursed, according to Cruise Hive . Guests who booked their own excursions will have to organise their own refunds.

Environmental activist group, Extinction Rebellion has been protesting at Amsterdam port, preventing cruise ships from docking by chaining themselves to a bridge at Ijmuiden Sea Lock, the access point for cruises entering Amsterdam.
