Disgruntled Da To Meet Ramaphosa On Expropriation Act
Democratic Alliance DA leader John Steenhuisen is set to meet with President Cyril Ramaphosa on the Expropriation Act.
The DA, which has been left disgruntled by its signing, claims the Bill was signed into law despite a legal opinion from DA minister Dean Macpherson.
The party briefed the media on Tuesday in Johannesburg, Gauteng following its federal council meeting on Monday.
Steenhuisen says he expects the meeting to take place this on Tuesday evening, before Wednesdays Cabinet meeting. But I must make it very clear, and no one must be under any doubt, that we will not be taken for granted, we will not be reduced to being spectators, and the day that we cannot have an influence on growing the economy and creating jobs will be the day that our future involvement at the GNU will have to be questioned.
