Diamond Dealer Louis Liebenberg Abandons Bail

Louis Liebenberg, an alleged fraudster and diamond dealer, has abandoned his bail application in the Bronkhorstspruit Magistrate's Court.

The state was set to cross-examine him after he moved for bail on Monday, following the withdrawal of his attorneys from the proceedings.

Liebenberg, along with his wife Desiree and seven others, is facing multiple charges, including fraud, racketeering, and theft. The case involves an alleged investment scam, where investors were reportedly swindled out of more than R4 billion.
