Cletus Obun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and former chairman of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties CNPP in Cross River State, stated that it is part of his party's duty to destabilize the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
He made this statement on Channels Televisions Politics Today programme, following comments from PDP chieftain Segun Sowunmi, who blamed the party's crisis on President Bola Tinubus appointment of Nyesom Wike as minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Obun argued that destabilizing the opposition is a legitimate political strategy as long as it does not lead to violence.
