Desperate Search For Missing Mikyla Bezuidenhout Continues

A 15-year-old girl from George, Mikyla Bezuidenhout, has been missing since Friday, 14 March, and authorities are increasing their efforts to locate her.
The George Herald reports that Mikyla's mother, Marina Fourie, last saw her daughter at 7pm on that evening at their home on PW Botha Boulevard in Borchards. Fourie initially believed Mikyla was heading to her grandfathers house, located nearby, but she never returned. 'I thought she was just going to her grandfather, but she never came back. The police are working on the case, but we haven't heard anything yet,' said Fourie.
Police have followed up on several tips provided by the public, but despite their efforts, they've found no leads. Authorities state that the search is being hindered by the belief that Mikyla may be hiding from those looking for her. Every address shared by the public has been checked, but without success.
While the police continue their search, both they and Mikyla's mother have taken to distributing posters in the area, hoping to gather new information. Mikyla was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a blue heart design, dark blue skinny jeans, and black-and-white sneakers. Her long, dark brown hair was loose when she disappeared.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Borg from the Child Protection Unit at 044 803 3342 or Marina Fourie directly at 084 319 6309. The search for Mikyla is ongoing, and authorities are appealing for the public's help in bringing her home safely.
