Desantis, House Speaker Perez Clash Over Tax Cut Priorities

It appears Gov. Ron DeSantis and House Speaker Daniel Perez, both Republicans, aren't seeing eye to eye again.
The governor has been pushing a plan to cut property taxes. However, earlier in the week, Perez announced an idea to cut the state sales tax from 6 to 5.25.
On Thursday, the governor posted a video X saying the House has "misplaced priorities."
"Floridians deserve action on protecting medical freedom, strengthening laws to combat illegal immigration, relieving condo residents of higher costs, and enacting a Florida-first tax package that provides real relief to Florida residents on their property taxes," he said in the post.
Local 10's Janine Stanwood spoke with Speaker Perez about the governor's comments for an interview to air Sunday morning on "This Week in South Florida."
