Deputy Police Minister Urges Parents To Report Sexual Abuse Cases

Police Deputy Minister Polly Boshielo has called on parents to report cases of sexual abuse against children to the police.

Boshielo was speaking at the Seshego Magistrates Court in Polokwane in Limpopo where a 28-year-old man who allegedly impregnated a 13-year-old girl made his first appearance .

The man faces a count of statutory rape and another of sexual grooming.

The case has been postponed to 8 January next year.

Boshielo says perpetrators of sexual abuse should be prosecuted.
