The 14th International Water Association conference on water reclamation and reuse is currently under way in Cape Town. The five-day event, which started on Sunday, is aimed at discussing the sustainability and innovation of water by the captains of the industry.

International delegates are gathering at the Cape Town International Convention Centre to discuss water sustainability. They include scientists, engineers, policymakers and leaders in the water industry.

This as South Africa is known to be a naturally dry country, which does not have an indefinite supply of water. And the City of Cape Town experienced drought a few years ago.

Authorities say the City has now taken a big leap in planning for one of the largest reuse facilities in the world. The gathering is said to be a culmination of years of dedicated research in the field of reuse and reclamation.

Its said that it will help in transformation, redress and empowering communities in innovative water solutions, among other things.
