For 34 years, Disney's The Little Mermaid has captivated audiences.
Benson, 23, now embodies the red-headed mermaid in a full circle moment for her and her family.
"It really has been so special to grow up with Ariel," said Delanie Benson.
To Delaney, Ariel represents more than just a courageous girl yearning for another world. Delaney's connection to Ariel runs deep, as her mother, actress Jodi Benson, voiced the original Ariel.
