The 6th edition of the Security and Emergency Management Award SAEMA 2024 and Conference will feature General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, as the guest speaker. The event, organized by Emergency Digest in collaboration with the Centre for Crisis Communication CCC, will take place at the Defence Headquarters Conference Hall in Abuja on November 28, 2024, at 10 am. Themed "Leveraging Inter-Agency, Civil-Military Relations," the event will honor individuals and institutions for their contributions to Nigerias safety, security, and emergency management.

The ceremony will also see the presentation of a book titled General CG Musa in Peacemaking Leveraging Inter-Agency and Civil-Military Relations, co-authored by PRNigeria Deputy Editor Mahmud Abdulsalam and Staff Writer Mukthar Yau Madobi.

During the ceremony, five outstanding individuals will be recognized in categories such as Crisis Communicator, Law Enforcement Officer, Security Officer, Military Officer, and Defence Journalist of the Year. Additionally, seven institutions will receive awards for achievements in Crime Prevention, Public Information Management, Cybercrime Prevention, Emergency Management, Community Service, Diligent Investigation, and Civil-Military Relations.

Special awards will be given to three organizations in categories like Training Institute of the Year, Volunteer Group, and Private Security Company of the Year. The event will also honor three distinguished personalities with excellence awards for their outstanding contributions to Nigerias security and emergency management.
