Death Toll Rises To Six In Mpumalanga Head-on Collision

The number of people who lost their lives in a head-on collision on the N4 toll road between Belfast and Machadodorp in Mpumalanga on Thursday has now risen to six.

Traffic authorities say one of the injured victims has succumbed to serious injuries while being treated at a hospital in Belfast.

The crash occurred when a sports utility vehicle and a bakkie collided, leading to the closure of the road for hours.

Mpumalangas Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison appeals to motorists to adhere to the rules and drive safely amid the wet weather conditions.
