Davido Makes U-turn, Praises Osun State Commissioner Of Police

Afrobeat star Davido has backtracked on his earlier criticism of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, acknowledging the efforts of security agencies in managing the crisis that erupted in the state.

Earlier today, the singer had condemned the commissioner, accusing him of failing to uphold the rule of law in response to the violence that claimed several lives.

However, in a fresh statement shared via X, Davido admitted that upon further review, there were "genuine efforts" by the commissioner to contain the situation as it unfolded.

He explained that his initial outburst was driven by anger over the "needless killings" that occurred in the state.

Recognising the complexities of the situation, the singer acknowledged that the police commissioner and other security chiefs had been making untiring efforts behind the scenes.
