Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says they have launched a dashboard to help residents keep track of water supply cuts and repair work in their areas.
He says Gautengs biggest challenges are illegal connections and water leakages.
The province will now put together a team of law enforcement agencies to assist in disconnecting all illegal water connections.
