Das Budget Vote Shows Its No Decisive Force In Gnu: Mashilo

das budget vote shows its no decisive force in gnu mashilo

South African Communist Party SACP spokesperson, Dr Alex Mashilo, says Wednesday's voting pattern in Parliament proves that the Democratic Alliance is not a decisive force in the Government of National Unity GNU.

This follows the passing of the national budget by the National Assembly earlier this week.

The SACP has hit out at the DA for not supporting the fiscal policy framework, stating that the party must see itself out of the GNU.

The DA did not vote for the 2025 fiscal framework after its economic reforms were not included.

Speaking as the SACPs Central Committee meeting in Braamfontein enters its second day today, Mashilo has echoed sentiments that the DA cannot reject the budget and still be expected to preside over it.
