Da Reiterates Call For Ntshavhenis Removal As Minister

The Democratic Alliance DA has reiterated its call for President Cyril Ramaphosa to remove Khumbudzo Ntshavheni from her position as Minister in the Presidency amid fraud and corruption allegations .

This follows a 2021 investigation by the Hawks into the ministers conduct as a municipal manager at the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality in Limpopo .

Allegations of tender corruption worth R2 million were at the heart of the probe.

The investigation has now been broadened and the amount has increased to R80 million.

"This person has full access into the most secret of secret dealings of the State Security Agency. So really, one cant be shocked at our call to remove her. Were talking about morphing from R2.5 million to an R80 million fraud and corruption investigation being done by the Hawks. And we did write to the president just over a month ago, we simply got a receipt of the letter.
