Cybersecurity In Spotlight At Innovation Summit In Boksburg

Cybersecurity is in the spotlight at the inaugural National System of Innovation Transformation Summit, currently under way in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni.

Nelson Mandela Universitys Programme Manager for the Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity, Noluxolo Gcaza, says for South Africa to fully reap the benefits of Artificial Intelligence AI stronger cybersecurity measures must be implemented in that space .

As the summit enters its second day, delegates continue discussions on leveraging technological innovation to improve peoples lives.

"If we are pursuing emerging technologies for our sustainable development. We need to have a secure, cyber security ecosystem. There needs to be a strong commitment, the establishment of an office that would be looking at how to lead Ai implementation in South Africa," says Gcaza.
