State troopers arrested Cuban rapper Ovi Tuesday following a road rage incident in which he brandished a gun the day prior, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
In a video posted to social media, officials with the agency said that Ovi, whose real name is Ovidio Crespo-Retureta, was located in Doral following the incident. The 28-year-old musician lives in that city.
According to an arrest report, the incident happened just after 12:45 p.m. Monday as the victim was traveling on Southwest Eighth Street underneath Florida's Turnpike in west Miami-Dade, near Florida International University.
According to FHP, Crespo-Retureta cut another driver off in his McLaren; when that driver honked his horn, the rapper responded by pointing a gun out the window of the supercar.
Authorities said Crespo-Retureta then pulled up alongside the victim and pointed the gun directly at him. They said the victim captured video of the incident.
