A crime intelligence-driven operation led to the discovery and confiscation of R6 million worth of crystal meth in a wooden snooker pool table that was destined for import at a warehouse at OR Tambo International Airport, reports Cape town Etc .
The SAPS followed up on intelligence when they discovered the drugs, which were allegedly destined for Australia.
Currently, the police are following all leads to determine the origin of the drugs in South Africa, as well as who delivered the consignment for import, according to a press statement issued by the SAPS on Friday, 13 December .
No arrests have been made and the investigations continue.
General Fannie Masemola, the National Commissioner of SAPS, applauded the vigilance and dedication of various police units stationed at the Airport.
