Court Releases Zuma-sambudla On Warning

Former president Jacob Zumas daughter and uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party's MP, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has been released on warning by the Durban Magistrates Court.

She has been charged under the Protection of Constitutional Democracy against Terrorist and Related Activities Act POCDATARA and incitement to commit violence relating to the 2021 July unrest.

Zuma-Sambudla will return to the court March 20.

This brings the total number of people arrested to 69, with one successful conviction thus far.

The riots, which affected KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Gauteng, claimed the lives of 354 people.
