Cosatu Questions Vetting Process Following Former Jhb Mayors Arrest
COSATU in Gauteng says accusations levelled against former Johannesburg Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda raises serious concerns regarding vetting processes.
There are growing calls for Gwamanda to step down from his role as the Citys Community Development MMC following his arrest last Friday.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority NPA, Gwamanda appeared in the Protea Magistrates Court on the same day together with his co-accused Mduduzi Zonde.
They are charged with fraud amounting to R12 000.
They were both released on R2 000 bail and the case has been postponed to the 3rd of December.
