Trade Federation, Cosatu says the Western Cape High Court ruling to temporarily bar uMkhonto weSizwe Party Parliamentary leader Doctor John Hlophe , from serving on the Judicial Service Commission, is an exercise of common sense.
On Friday, the court granted an urgent interdict in favour of the Democratic Alliance to stop the designation of Hlophe to serve on the JSC.
The party challenged his designation to the JSC, saying Parliament had not taken a rational decision when designating him after he was impeached due to charges of gross misconduct.
