Dozens of residents from Coronationville in Johannesburg have taken to the streets to protest ongoing water cuts in their area.
For the past several weeks, residents have reported having water only between midnight and 4 am, leaving them without supply for most of the day.
Community leader Jefferson Johnson expressed frustration over the situation, For almost three weeks now, we have been struggling where there is absolutely no water coming through during the day.
He added that the issue is particularly severe for those living in flats, and the community is growing increasingly angry.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area as protesters have barricaded several roads with rocks and rubble.
