Constitution Hill Photography Exhibition Captures Township Spirit

From February 1 to March 31, Constitution Hill will host I Put My Hand On My Chest To Feel My Heartbeat an exhibition by the Of Soul and Joy OSJ programme. The exhibition will offer an intimate look at life in Thokoza through the work of past and present OSJ students using photography to tell the personal and collective stories of this community.

Curated by Lesole Tauatswala , Constitution Hills Creative Uprising Hub Co-ordinator, the exhibition will celebrate 30 years of South Africas democracy while highlighting the creativity and lived experiences of Thokozas youth. The works will reflect identity, heritage, love, spirituality and family themes presenting a nuanced perspective of life in this historically significant township.
