Comrades Association To Vote In New Board

The interim chairperson of the Comrades Marathon Association, Jeff Minnaar, says they are working to resolve challenges faced by the association.

Minnaar was speaking at the launch of the 2025 Comrades Marathon in Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal today.

In August, some board members including the chairperson and the deputy chairperson resigned.

The association identified cyber bullying, harassment and defamation as some of reasons for this.

The problems that were raised at the special general meeting we have addressed those problems, they have not been finalised, however the investigations as requested during the general meeting are under way. We are looking forward to the AGM because at the AGM there will be a new board that is coming in, and we hope that the new board continue with the happiness that we have installed into the staff of Comrades that they continue along the same lines and not take it back to where it was, says Minnaar.
