Selected areas in the City will experience water supply disruptions from 22 - 24 October, as a result of planned work by the City's Water and Sanitation Directorate, Cape town Etc reports.
The areas of Fisantekraal , Greenville , Durbanville Industrial and Fisantekraal Wastewater Treatment Plant will undergo planned maintenance work from 7pm on Tuesday, 22 October 2024, until 1am on Wednesday, 23 October 2024. The water supply to these areas will be shut off during this period.
The water supply in Starke Road and its Bergvliet surrounds will be shut off from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday 23 October 2024, to allow for a maintenance crew to install a bypass to connect properties into the water supply network.
The water supply pipeline in Govan Mbeki Road will be shut down from 8am until 7pm on Wednesday, 23 October 2024. This will result in the disruption of water supply to the area between Springfield Road and Ottery Road as well as the immediate surrounds.
The water supply to various roads in Glencairn will be shut off from 7h30am until 5pm on Wednesday, 23 October 2024, to enable the safe completion of construction work on the main water supply.
