Coach Mabuthi Khenyeza 'has Been Absent From Work For A Week', Says Golden Arrows Amid Resignation Reports And Possible Mngqithi Reunion
Lamontville Golden Arrows say that Mabhuti Khanyeza has been absent from work for a week amid widespread reports that he has resigned from his position as head coach of the club.
Earlier this week, media reports indicated that Khanyeza had submitted his resignation to the club due to dissatisfaction with the working arrangement at the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
There was also speculation that the club was considering replacing Khanyeza with Manqoba Mngqithi , who was recently sacked by Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this week.
Mngqithi was in charge of Arrows when they defeated Ajax Cape Town 6-0 to win the MTN 8 title in 2009 their first and only title in the PSL.
In an interview with Robert Marawa on 947 Radio, Mngqithi did not rule out the possibility of returning to his former club, emphasizing that it played a crucial role in his career.
