The City of Cape Towns Water and Sanitation Directorate has notified residents that they will be doing planned work in the identified areas, which will result in water supply disruptions on 17 and 18 September, Cape {town} Etc reports.
Zero-pressure tests (ZPT) will be conducted on the water supply network in the Greater Eerste River area on Tuesday, 17 September, from 9am until 5pm.
This includes the areas of De Wijnlanden, Penhill, Aan De Wijnlanden, Eerste River, Houghton Place, Eerste River South and Forest Way.
The Water and Sanitation Directorate will upgrade its water supply network with ZPTs in the greater Eerste River area, which will result in no water supply to the areas during this time, according to a press statement issued by the City .
ZPTs and step-testing form part of the installation process for zone management infrastructure.
