A child has been seriously burnt while eight houses and a church have also been destroyed following a fire at Buffelspoort in Magaliesberg in North West last night.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation.
The fire has since been contained.
North West Fire Protection Associations Eric Stock says the child is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
He has appealed to the public for help with food and clothing.
