Child Dies After Being Pulled From Pompano Beach Pool

A child has died after being pulled from a pool at a home in Pompano Beach on Thursday.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the 1600 block of Northeast First Avenue shortly after noon after receiving a call about a possible drowning.

"Please, the baby fell in the pool -- we found her," a loved one is heard telling a 911 dispatcher in audio obtained Friday by Local 10 News.

"How long was she in the pool?" the dispatcher asked.

"We don't know," the caller said.
