Chiefs Score Late To Beat Sekhukhune
Kaizer Chiefs are back to winning ways in the Betway Premiership. Chiefs beat a stubborn Sekhukhune United 1-nil in the only league match played earlier on Sunday afternoon.
Sekhukhune finished the game with ten men after a late red card to Vuyo Letlape. Chiefs have now climbed to fifth on the log and Sekhukhune remain fourth after their first loss in six matches.
The highflying Sekhukhune United came up against the struggling Kaizer Chiefs at Durbans Moses Mabhida Stadium, in the only Betway Premiership match on Sunday. Sekhukhune came into this match with a near-perfect record of four wins in five matches and a single draw.
On the other hand, Chiefs have been blowing hot and cold having suffered three losses in their past six matches. Amakhosi played without their suspended coach Nasreddine Nabi, who received a red card when they lost their last league encounter against Golden Arrows last Sunday.
Chiefs were the first to threaten to score in the opening stages of the match. They maintained the pressure and Rushwin Dortley was denied by the keeper a few minutes later.
