Chery To Introduce 19 New Hybrid Models In 2025

Chery has given the world a sneak peek at its new Chery Super Hybrid CSH system that will underpin a new range of new energy vehicles.

The Chinese car giant has also confirmed that it will introduce 19 new hybrid models globally in 2025, and these will consist of conventional hybrid as well as plug-in hybrid PHEV and range-extender hybrid REEV models.

The new hybrid system will feature in the new Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 models, all of which will be revealed at the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2025 show later in April.

All three of these vehicles are expected to land in South Africa in plug-in hybrid form later this year.

The new-generation CSH hybrid system boasts a thermal efficiency factor of 46.5, which Chery says is unprecedented in the market. It also boasts a dedicated hybrid transmission DHT, which delivers 98.5 transmission efficiency.
