Its been reported that Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement over a deal that could see Victor Osimhen heading to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The Nigerian striker has long been linked with a move away from Napoli and has subsequently attracted interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and more recently, Chelsea.
Now though, the Independent reports that the Blues could sign Osimhen on an initial loan deal with Romelu Lukaku heading in the opposite direction on a permanent basis.
The same report mentions that progress have been made regarding the deal but that it may not officially be completed until the final week of the current transfer window.
Its believed that Chelsea are now the front runners to sign the 25-year-old star and are confident in their pursuit of the Napoli man.
