Cheaper Petrol Loading: Massive Fuel Price Drop Next Week!
South African motorists can expect a significant drop in fuel prices in April, with petrol prices decreasing by up to 88 cents per litre and diesel by up to 96 cents per litre.
The relief comes after months of rising fuel costs, driven by global economic factors, including a stable rand-dollar exchange rate and lower international oil prices.
According to Daily Investor , South Africas Central Energy Funds latest data indicates the below changes for next week when fuel prices are adjusted in April:
- Petrol 93 - decrease of 74 cents per litre
- Petrol 95 - decrease of 88 cents per litre
- Diesel 0.05 - decrease of 94 cents per litre
- Diesel 0.005 - decrease of 96 cents per litre
Factors such as increased oil supply from OPEC and a potential US-brokered resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war could further influence prices, Daily Maverick reported.
Additionally, a strong gold price may help stabilise the rand, mitigating the impact of market volatility.
