Cameroonian talents Che Malone and Leonel Ateba have helped Simba SC secure a historic qualification for the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup following their dramatic penalty shootout victory over Al Masry.

The Tanzanian club overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to advance in front of a raucous home crowd at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

In the first leg, Simba SC suffered a 2-0 defeat in Suez, Egypt, with Al Masrys Abderrahim Deghmoum and John Ebuka scoring in the first half. This result left the Tanzanian giants with an uphill task in the return leg.
