ChatGPT App Goes Offline, Leaving Users Stranded
Users of the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT were left without access to the apps services on Tuesday, as the service experienced a widespread outage.
The outage began in the early afternoon, with users reporting that they were unable to access the app or receive responses to their prompts. OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, acknowledged the issue on their status page, citing high error rates for their Embeddings API.
We are currently experiencing high error rates for the Embeddings API. We are investigating and will send an update as soon as possible.
We have identified the root cause of this issue and are currently working to implement a fix, the company stated.
