According to the KPMG Africa CEO Outlook 2024 Report, 77 of company leaders in Southern Africa feel under pressure to ensure the long-term prosperity of their business.

For the first time in the reports 10-year history, it has included the views of CEOs on the continent.

Among the 130 business leaders the report engaged with, many prioritised ensuring that AI is implemented ethically.

West Africa's economic uncertainty continues to impact strategy and dominate the minds of CEOs, with 57 citing it as their top concern.

KPMG Africa Chairman and CEO Ignatius Sehoole says, In the west as you can understand, the economic uncertainty if you look at what the devaluation of the Naira for instance has done and the Cedi hasnt been left untouched either. The impact of the fuelling impact on the inflation in West Africa, so it is understandable when you see that 57 of the CEOs are having that as top of mind for them.
