Casey Desantis Responds To Speculation Over Potential Florida Governor Run During Fiu Visit

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis made a stop at Florida International University on Friday , where speculation continued to swirl about her potential run for governor in 2026.

During a news conference, Casey DeSantis was asked directly whether she is considering a bid to succeed her husband by Local 10 News reporter Christina Vasquez.

She deflected, offering a cryptic response.

"I would say one thing - to quote the late, great Yogi Berra: When you come to a fork in the road, take it," Casey DeSantis said.

Pressed further for clarity, Ron DeSantis interjected, suggesting that many have encouraged her to run.
