Carabao Cup: I Was Fuming, Wouldve Strangled Him Trippier On Guimares Error

Newcastle United defender, Kieran Trippier, has revealed how angry he was when his teammate Bruno Guimares nearly cost them the game during the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium.

The England international said he was fuming and would have strangled Guimares if Liverpool had made a comeback in the game.

Magpies won 2-1 in the game to lift the trophy and book a place in Europe next season.

Speaking on CBS Sports, Thierry Henry questioned Trippier about how he felt when his Brazilian teammate lost the ball, leading to Lvierpools only goal of the match.

Responding to the Arsenal legend, Trippier admitted that he was fuming at the midfielders decision not to release the ball quick.
